WHAT TO EXPECT ON
YOUR FIRST VISIT
Waist Lines offers several different programs
to serve a variety of patient needs. New patients schedule a 2 hour initial
visit for a comprehensive work-up which includes a history and physical exam,
an EKG, a blood panel which includes tests specific to the field of bariatric
medicine and a new patient class. Patients see the physician at every follow up
visit so they can be closely monitored and encouraged.
Block
off two hours for this visit in order to complete the blood work, EKG, new
patient class, medical history and physical. You will need to fast for 12 hours
prior to your appointment time. (Drink plenty of water though--it makes it
easier to for us to perform you blood tests)
Bring a complete list of
your prescription medications as well as any vitamins and herbals you may be
taking.
We believe you will be pleased with the comprehensive nature of
the testing we offer at your first visit. This will give you the confidence
that Dr. Lyon understands the uniqueness of your metabolism as she designs your
customized weight loss program.
